The editable menu templates · two layouts
A price menu should answer three things without a phone call
What this service is, what it includes, and what can change the price. Everything else on a menu is decoration, and decoration is not the reason she has not booked.
Every line below is a placeholder. The brackets are there so you cannot accidentally publish my words or my numbers. Replace all of them with services and prices calculated from your own costs and your own market. If you want to see the layouts filled in, the two worked examples on the templates page use fictional studios and fictional prices.
The anchored-signature layout
Use this when you have one service you want to be known for and a menu that currently buries it. The signature work introduces the salon; everything else is read in relation to it.
[Address] · [Phone] · [Booking link]
- Every appointment begins with a consultation. [What that means here.]
- Longer, thicker or previously treated [hair/nails] may need a supplement. We agree it before we start, never at checkout.
- Deposits and cancellation: [link]. Menu last updated [date].
The no-surprises layout
Use this when clients keep booking the wrong service, or when your checkout total is regularly a number the client has not heard before. It organises the menu by what she is trying to get, then removes the surprises one at a time.
[Address] · [Phone] · [Booking link]
- [Step one — for example, the consultation]
- [Step two]
- [Step three]
- [Finish and aftercare]
Deposits and cancellation: [link]. Menu last updated [date].
Replace every field
Tick them off on paper. Every menu I have seen go out with somebody else’s number on it went out because one line was missed on a screen at eleven at night.
- Salon name
- Location and contact
- Service names
- Plain descriptions
- Included steps
- Duration, if you show it
- Exact price, or an honest range
- Supplement rule
- Consultation requirement
- Deposit and cancellation link
- Booking button
- Last-updated date
Exporting it
Replace the sample services and every sample number. Confirm font licenses. Export a screen PDF and a print PDF separately; check links, bleed and color settings with the final printer.
- Screen version: links live, file small enough to open on a phone on bad signal
- Print version: bleed, crop marks and colour profile as the printer asked for them, not as your design app defaults
- Font licence permits commercial use and embedding — check before the print run, not after
- One person owns the master file, and the file name carries the date
- The prices on the menu match the prices in the booking system, today

Do not price it from the layout. Both templates make a menu clearer; neither makes a price correct. Run one service through the chair-hour calculator with your own fixed costs first, and let the layout carry a number you can defend.
